POLICE swooped on a suspect in the town centre of Alloa today (Thursday, July 19), arresting a man in connection with an alleged robbery.
Officers were seen racing to Shillinghill in town, handcuffing and searching a male across the street from the bus station.
The arrest was made around 9.15am and is linked to a robbery in Sauchie, which occurred a few weeks ago.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman told the Advertiser: “Police in Forth Valley have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a robbery that took place in the Sauchie area on Saturday 30 June and inquiries remain ongoing."
Three officers were seen detaining the man on the scene, with additional vehicles arriving soon after.
