A MAN who drove while more than three times the limit has been given three months to be of good behaviour.

Justin Reynolds appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday, July 26, where he tendered a plea of guilty to drink driving.

A plea of not guilty was made for a charge of failing to give information to police as to the identity of the driver of the vehicle which was accepted by the prosecution.

Susannah Hutchison, prosecuting, told the court that a witness observed the car swerving while driving at The Bryony, Tullibody, on June 23, 2018.

The car entered a car park and the witness heard a loud bang.

The 20-year-old accused then got out the car and walked into a wooded area.

Police were then called and attended and observed the car and felt that it was warm.

Officers then traced Reynolds who was arrested.

Sheriff David Mackie deferred sentence for three months and told the man, of Sandpiper Meadow, Alloa, that a monetary penalty will likely be the outcome.

He has also been disqualified from driving.
