CLACKMANNANSHIRE residents are facing yet more misery on their travels as a major road is set to close in the coming months.

The council have announced that Tullibody Road will close from October 1 until October 12 so that the road can be resurfaced.

A notice on the council website states that there will be diversions in place for drivers, although it remains to be seen where they will be at this moment.

It has been a summer of road works for Wee County residents, with the biggest disruption coming on the A907 Clackmannan bypass which has been partially closed since June 25 while it undergoes widening works.

That road is due to reopen on September 14.
