A YOUNG child was taken to hospital after an incident at an address in Alloa last week.
The infant was transported by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital on Friday, August 10, where staff contacted police due to the nature of the leg injury sustained by the child.
Police then stood guard at the property overnight and could still be seen at the address late into Saturday afternoon.
A police spokesman told the Advertiser: "Police in Alloa were contacted by staff at the Forth Valley Royal Hospital after an infant child was admitted, having sustained a serious injury to their leg.
"Inquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding this matter are ongoing."
