LANDOWNERS associated with a major proposed development in Dollar say they are eager to find the “best possible outcome for the town as a whole”.

As the Advertiser reported last week, the town’s community council issued an open letter to highlight residents are concerned over a development which could see hundreds of new houses, business units, spots facilities and more extending the settlement to the south.

An agent for Cowden Farming Company, one of the landowners involved, was keen to arrange talks to hear the concerns and Dollar Academy, another landowner, pledged to continue engagement with locals.

A spokesperson from the academy told the Advertiser: “Dollar Academy has been holding ongoing discussions with members of the local community about the proposed development plan, including meetings with the community council and other relevant bodies.

“The school welcomes any opportunities to continue to engage with local people regarding this matter and is keen to help find the best possible outcome for the town as a whole.”
