THREE people were injured after a shocking two-vehicle smash in Alloa on Friday.

The horror collision took place at around 2pm on Friday afternoon between a van and a car on Tullibody Road. A third car, an Audi, also sustained damage.

The crash, which happened just outside the Leisure Bowl, left three people with minor injuries, although they were out the vehicles by the time emergency services arrived on scene.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “The RTC happened just before 2pm this afternoon, it was a two vehicle collision involving a Transit van and a car and it was on Tullibody Road. The van had a fuel leak and there were minor injuries.”

Scottish Fire and Rescue confirmed there were three casualties in a statement.

It read: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 2pm on Friday, August 31 to a road traffic collision in Alloa.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire engines to the accident on Tullibody Road which involved two vehicles.

“Three casualties were out the vehicles on arrival and were treated on scene by Scottish Ambulance Service personnel.

“Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
