FORMER Rangers player Paul ‘Gazza’ Gascoigne has appeared to sing along to a sectarian song during an appearance at Alloa Town Hall.
The 51-year-old was in the Wee County on Saturday night where he stopped off with his show, An Audience with Paul Gascoigne, which is touring the UK.
The former England hero took to the mic as the audience sang along to Tina Turner’s 1989 hit “Simply the Best.”
On stage with former snooker player and sports commentator Willie Thorne, Gazza can be seen mouthing along to the words: “F*** the Pope and the IRA.”
The clip, which surfaced after the show at the town hall, was captioned: “Gazza is here to cheer you Rangers fans up. ‘F*** the Pope and the IRA’.”
