POLICE in Alloa arrested one man and stopped dozens of defective vehicles during traffic checks this morning.
Officers were stopping vehicles travelling on the Mars Hill road (A907) from at least 9am, and conducting checks in a nearby carpark.
Inspector Andrew Thomson of Forth Valley's Road Policing Unit said: "On the morning of Wednesday 5th September we conducted vehicle safety checks on the A907.
"Forty-five vehicles were stopped, with 42 vehicles found to have at least one minor defect and a man was arrested on outstanding warrants.
"We're proud that Clackmannanshire's roads are some of the safest in the country and will continue to work proactively with partners and the public to ensure they are kept that way."
