STIRLING Netball Club hosted open trials at The Peak leisure centre late in August – as keen players tried out for a space on the team.
The club hosted their first open trials on Monday, August 27, with 26 people trying for a place in the Club’s senior squads.
Club members praised the high standards of those who tried out.
On Wednesday, August 29 the club then hosted their ‘Re-Launch’ night delivering the Bounce Back to Netball programme inviting new participants to give it a try.
Bounce Back to Netball encourages people gently back into sport, targeting those who played the game in school before life, jobs and children came along.
Ruth Henderson, club development officer at Active Stirling said: "It's wonderful to see the club developing from a recreational club to a competitive club hosting trials and encouraging quality netball to be played in the Central area.
“The senior section has so much depth now and will continue to grow. Well done to Stirling Netball Club for a great week and I'm sure it will be a great season for them."
