A BRAVE Alloa woman will take part in a charity skydive with her work colleagues to support people suffering from sight loss.

Kimberly Logan, 26, will join fellow staff from Specsavers for the Big Jump - a company fundraiser in aid of the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

She said: "Working in optics has taught me the importance of regular eye exams and has driven me to want to raise awareness and support for people with sight loss.

"The Big Jump for RNIB is for a great cause so I’m incredibly excited about the jump - just don’t ask me that when I’m up there staring at the ground below."

The Specsavers store and Kimberly’s colleagues have supported her efforts with a raffle in the run up to the big day.

A collection tin has also been place in the Alloa Specsavers to raise money for the charity.

The Big Jump, which will take place at St Andrews on September 23, will also mark the beginning of National Eye Health Week, which runs from September 24 until the 30th.
