A MAN was arrested last week for allegedly striking a teenager with a baseball bat at a bus stop in Alloa.

An eye witness claimed the man left his house early on Thursday, September 27, and became abusive towards several youngsters waiting on a bus nearby.

The Advertiser understands an altercation involving the bat then took place.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Forth Valley have charged a man in connection with an altercation in Alloa.

"The incident happened around 7.50am on Thursday September 27 in the Forth Crescent area of the town and during the disturbance two people were assaulted.

"A 38-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident and is expected to appear at Alloa Sheriff Court on Friday 28 September."
