A CHANCE to pick up some digital skills is set to roll into Kincardine tomorrow (Thursday, October 4).
The Google Digital Garage Bus will be stopping at the Coalfields Training and Enterprise Hub and will be there all day between 9am and 5pm.
People will have the chance to improve their digital skills and equip themselves with the tools they need to find employment or take the next steps to grow their own business.
The event is being hosted by the Coalfields Regeneration Trust with Pauline Douglas, head of operations for Scotland, saying: “We are so excited that the Google Digital Garage Bus is coming to Kincardine.
“This is the first of many new initiatives that we want to bring to the Longannet Communities, which will help them back into work, set up a social enterprise or commercial business and encourage greater community involvement.”
During the event, there will be opportunities to get one-to-one half hour coaching sessions or attend three workshops.
Topics will include ‘stay safe online’ between 10am and 11am, ‘first steps online’ between 12noon and 1.30pm as well as ‘writing for social media’ between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
