ORGANISERS of a school fundraiser hope to bring the community together once again with their latest event.

Muckhart Primary School Parent Council is holding its second annual Soup & Sweet event to generate general funds for the school on Saturday, November 10.

It will be held in the village’s Coronation Hall between 12noon and 2pm with delicious hearty homemade soup, crusty bread, a large selection for those with a sweet tooth as well as tea and coffee.

Last year the parent council were delighted to see people coming for various towns around the Wee County and are hoping some new faces will also show this time around.

There will also be a kids’ bric-a-brac while the hall will be looking its best with parents taking care of the decoration.

The parent council’s Becky Graham said: “Muckhart Primary School Parent Council are really excited to be holding our annual ‘Soup & Sweet’ fundraising event for Muckhart Primary School.

“Following last year’s success, we are hoping that the community will once again rally round to support our fantastic local school and help us beat last year’s target!

“The event is open to all to attend and all funds raised will go towards the provision of essential resources and equipment for our terrific school.”
