A MAN carrying a blade in public without a reasonable excuse was admonished at Alloa Sheriff Court.

Alistair Jamieson, 43, of Maryfield Place, Falkirk, appeared for sentencing on Thursday, October 18, having pleaded guilty to the charge at an intermediate diet.

The charge states that on December 20 last year at Balhearty Farm, Coalsnaughton, Jamieson was caught carrying a saw with a lockable blade without a reasonable excuse.

Sentencing had been deferred to allow Jamieson to be of good behaviour, and the court heard he had been.

Sheriff David Mackie said: "I'm glad to see that's so.

"This incident has been a bit of a blip and it's been a long time since I've seen you so make it last."

Jamieson was admonished on account of his good behaviour.
