COUPLES planning their special day had the chance to in Alloa meet a range of suppliers at a single venue over the weekend.

The biannual Alloa Wedding Show brought couples and businesses together at the town hall on Sunday, October 21.

Venues, florists, cake makers, decorators, transport providers, photographers, and many more were on hand with their stalls to showcase what they had to offer for couples coming from the Wee County and beyond.

One of the highlights was the fashion show, which kicked off at around 3.15pm on the day, putting on the catwalk the variety of styles and items available for the big day.

The models appeared in dresses, kilts, outfits for flower girls, mother-of-the-bride ensembles and much more.

The event lasted around three hours with the aim of showcasing what is on offer in and around the Clackmannanshire area.

Lorraine Douglas, one of the event organisers, said: “The sun shone for the ever popular Alloa Wedding Show on Sunday.

"Brides, grooms and their families visited Alloa Town Hall to find a great variety of suppliers who were on hand to help them plan their special day.

"We would like to thank everyone that attended.”

The show runs twice a year at Alloa Town Hall, the next one is set to go ahead on Sunday, May 12, 2019.

Steven Campbell, also one of the organisers, added: “We had a fantastic turn out for the event and great to see that every seat was filled for the fashion show.

“We will now start planning for the next show which we are expecting to be the biggest and best Alloa Wedding Show yet.”
