THE Wee County’s trampoline park is looking to give back to the community through a rewards scheme for schools, launched last week.

Young people heading along to Jump-n-Joy in Tullibody will be able to collect vouchers for their schools and nurseries each time they attend a bounce session.

Schools will then be able to offer a pupil or even a group a free visit once enough has come together to reward their good work or behaviour.

The scheme comes as a thank you from the business, which said it has had a lot of support from energetic locals who have been frequenting the fun activities on offer.

Collecting 50 vouchers, one to be gained for each full jump session attended by a local young person below the age of 18, will earn a go for a single pupil while saving up as many as 3,000 will reward schools with two hours of full park hire with up to 75 guests, cordial and nibbles.

The scheme has been embraced by MSP Keith Brown (pictured), who reckons it will indeed prove popular.

He said: “I was delighted to visit Jump-n-Joy to show my support for their new voucher scheme which will allow local children to collect vouchers for their nursery or school to receive a free or discounted visit.

“It was great to see the fantastic facilities on offer at Jump-n-Joy first hand and I’m sure this initiative will be popular with local youngsters and their school or nursery.”

Richard Quinn, general manager at the Dumyat Business Park-based leisure facility, told the Advertiser: “We are just looking to give something back to the community.

“We are a new business, the community has helped us. We’ve had a lot of support from the schools with the kids coming along to the park and it’s an incentive to create free school trips for the children and the schools.”

Richard hopes the scheme will help reinvest some money in the local economy while keeping youngsters active and healthy through a fun activity.

When the park opened early in 2018, bosses looked to bring to the venue the latest in the amusement sector.

There is, naturally, an array of trampolines, some are angled along the wall and there is a whole corner dedicated to bouncy games.

Also in the park are foam pits along a climbing wall where guests can race each other, a jousting plank where people can test their skills and balance against each other as well as a big jump-off platform with a huge airbag to land on.
