MEMBERS of the Clackmannanshire Choral Society will soon throw their Christmas concert, marking the first event under the stewardship of its new conductor.
According to Viv Fairchild, the president, 2018 marks the coming of age for the group which will be holding its 21st annual Christmas concert on Saturday, December 8.
The programme comprises traditional and modern carols as well as solos from choir members.
This concert will be the first for Mike Nolan as conductor and Lawrence Wright as accompanist.
Mike Nolan said: “The Christmas Concert is a great tradition and helps put people in the Christmas mood.
"I’m delighted to be able to lead the choir in offering a varied programme of Yuletide cheer.”
The choir will be wearing snowflake pin badges to support the Strathcarron Hospice – and pins will be on sale at the concert for a donation of £2.
The Clacks Choral Christmas Concert will be held at St Mungo’s Parish Church, Ludgate, Alloa on Saturday, December 8, at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost only £6 and are available from choir members or at the door. The choir can be contacted via their website: clackschoral.webs.com or their Facebook page facebook.com/ClacksChoral
