A WOMAN has admitted stealing booze from the Co-op in Clackmannan twice, over two consecutive days, at Alloa Sheriff Court.

Janine O'Neill, 33, of Castlefern Crescent in Rutherglen, pleaded guilty to two charges on Monday, November 26.

The charges state that she stole a quantity of alcohol from the store on July 23 and 24 this year.

O'Neill pleaded not guilty to a third charge of stealing clothing from New Look in Shillinghill, Alloa, on July 24, which was accepted by depute fiscal, Susannah Hutchison.

The defence lawyer for O'Neill told the court: "She is keen to put this matter behind her and she is a stranger to this neck of the woods."

Sheriff David Mackie adjourned the case until January 3 next year, to obtain reports.
