A DENNY man’s family is growing “increasingly concerned” after he has been missing for a week.

Police in the Forth Valley has issued a fresh appeal for information in an effort to trace John Scott, who was last seen leaving the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow just after midday on Tuesday, November 20.

Officers believe the 37-year-old left the hospital in his grey Hyundai i20 but his destination is unknown.

The Denny man also has connections to the Falkirk area, Glenboig and Pollok in Glasgow with officers continuing to investigate in all areas.

John is described as white, six feet tall, of a medium build, with short fair hair and a stubble.

He was wearing denim jeans, a grey jumper, a black jacket, a white baseball cap with a black skip when last seen.

Police are appealing to the public for information in a bid to trace the man.

Chief Inspector Damian Armstrong, local area commander for Falkirk, said: "It has now been an entire week since John left the Royal Infirmary in Glasgow and since this time he has not returned home and there have been no further confirmed sightings of him.

"This is making not only us, but his family, increasingly concerned for his welfare and we are keen to trace him as soon as possible.

"John is likely to be travelling in his Hyndai i20 car, which has registration number SH11 FWX.

“We would urge anyone who has seen this vehicle since Tuesday, November 20, or who can help us establish its movements, to contact police immediately.

"We would also request that John get in touch as a matter of urgency to confirm he is safe."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at Falkirk station via 101, quoting the incident number 3878 of November 21.
