A DARTS exhibition in Alloa was a huge success as hundreds of fans turned out to meet their heroes and world champions.

The event, which was held at Alloa Town Hall on Saturday, December 1, saw an action packed day with the Jocky Wilson Memorial Cup the highlight of the day.

Team England won a closely-fought contest against a Scotland team which featured back-to-back world champion Gary Anderson with a final score of 7-5 after Glen Durrant and Darryl Fitton won the final two matches to clinch victory.

There was also a number of stalls in the hall, including James Anderson’s naked calendars, as featured in the Advertiser previously.

James and his team, who play out of the Old Brewery, stripped off in a bid to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK and quickly sold out of the calendars.

There was also a number of former world champions in attendance for fans to meet and get pictures with to the delight of many.

A raffle and auction also featured high-end items such as Michael van Gerwen memorabilia.

It’s the final darts event for a while in the Wee County before the masters comes to town on Sunday, March 10, at the town hall.

Gary Anderson will once again be in attendance as will Adrian Lewis and James Wade for an event hosted by Keith Deller.
