A FUN-FILLED Santa Dash at Tillicoultry Primary School has raised more than £250 for the ongoing playground project.

The event, which was organised by school's parent council, was held at the end of last month.

It saw around 50 volunteers running four laps of the school’s running track – at around one mile – dressed in their finest Christmas attire.

All the money raised will go towards building a better playground for the Tillicoultry PS pupils, who have “nothing” according to Katie Moran, a member of the parent council.

She said the project requires around £27,000, although they are well on their way to that figure and that the Santa Dash was a new idea to try and raise some extra.

Katie wished to pay thanks to the Co-op who provided all the refreshments for the event, thus keeping the parent council costs to a minimum.
