Traffic running through Alloa Town Centre was at a standstill earlier today due to an incident on Drysdale Street.

An ambulance had stopped on Drysdale Street - just before the turnoff to Shillinghill - to attend to an incident, leaving the road blocked for around 20 minutes.

As a result, traffic had queued up on Drysdale Street right up to the roundabout, and on Primrose Street also.

The ambulance has since moved and traffic is now flowing as usual.

The Ambulance Service has been contacted to establish the circumstances of the incident.
