AN ALLOA man has admitted trying to send sexual messages and pictures to children.

Alexander Davidson appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Tuesday, January 29, where he pleaded guilty to the offences, which took place last year.

The charges state that, on various occasions between February 1 and March 14, at an address on McKinlay Crescent, Alloa, Davidson intentionally, and for the purposes of sexual gratification, to humiliate, distress or alarm four people, who all posed as young girls, by sending them sexual messages.

Davidson, 55, believed all four recipients were between the ages of 13 and 16.

One of the four charges also says that he sent a sexual image to the woman and attempt to cause her to look at a sexual image.

The accused had his sentence deferred for reports, but was warned by Sheriff Caldwell that he may be facing a jail term.

He said: "These are extremely serious offences. Prison is an option when you come back."

The matter was adjourned until February 21 and Davidson, of Hill Park, was also placed on the sex offenders' register.
