A FREE wedding exhibition in Alloa took place at the weekend with people able to see recycled goods.

The Something Old, Something New wedding exhibition was held at Alloa Town Hall on Sunday, February 3, with more than 70 people browsing the various stalls.

Organiser Stacey Murrie said she was delighted with the turnout considering the terrible weather conditions and added that she was inspired to throw the event because of the high cost of weddings.

There was a number of stalls including Flowers by Arrangement, several bridal dress stores, kilt hire, cake design, wedding venues, Lloyd Steven DJ and Dunsmore Dogs, who look after your dogs during a wedding.

There was also a bridal dress and kilt catwalk to show off the very best garments.

Stacey said: "I was panicking when I saw the snow because I know people obviously don't like going out in it.

"People at the moment like to do a DIY wedding and I know how expensive weddings can be, so it makes sense to recycle some stuff."

Stacey wished to give her thanks to all the staff the town hall, all of the suppliers and to everyone who "braved the cold weather" to make it such a brilliant day.
