POLICE have build up a backlog of stolen items waiting to be returned to their owners following a crackdown on thieves in Clacks.
Authorities revealed they had accumulated the "large quantity of stolen property" in their monthly report to Alloa's Community Council.
Initially, police were contacted about multiple instances of theft in the Lornshill Crescent, Claremont and Gean Road areas of Alloa.
As a result, four search warrants were executed in relation to stolen property, leading to five individuals being charged with 25 instances of theft.
Most of items currently retained have yet to be identified and claimed by their rightful owners.
