POLICE are still hunting a suspect in connection with four failed robbery bids across the Forth Valley last month.

The first incident took place on January 21, when a bookmakers in Tullibody was targeted by a man demanding money while carrying a knife.

A betting shop in Falkirk was then held up the next day.

After those two incidents, attempted robberies took place at another bookmakers in Tullibody on January 23, followed by a tattoo parlour in Stirling just hours later.

No money was handed over during any of the incidents – which are being treated as linked – and no staff at any of the premises were harmed.

Police have confirmed they have not yet traced their main suspect, and are still appealing for information to assist with their enquiries.

The suspect is described as a white male, of slim build, around 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, in his twenties, wearing all dark blue or black clothing and carrying a rucksack.

Anyone with information can call Police Scotland on 101, or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
