SOME eye-catching Red Nose Day frames are being sold at an Alloa opticians' as the store shows its support for Comic Relief.
Customers and members of the public are being urged to get in on the act at the High Street's Specsavers and back the nationwide initiative.
The funky bright red frames cost just £2 with all the proceeds going to the good cause.
Lynne Sangster, store director in Alloa, said: "Our glasses this year are fantastic and we hope everyone gets into the fundraising spirit by picking up a pair in store and help us smash our £1million fundraising mark [across the company].
"We are really proud to support Comic Relief and all the good causes they fund."
Specsavers have since 2015 raised around £848,000 for the cause and there are hopes charitable locals will help push the total into seven digits.
The frames are on sale ahead of Red Nose Day this Friday, March 15.
Customers looking to recycle the glasses later on can return them to the local store; the items will be sent to a specialist recycling company.
Catherine Cottrell, fundraising and partnership executive director at Comic Relief, added: "We're so pleased Specsavers is continuing to support us for the third year.
"It's great to see people having fun wearing their Comic Relief specs to help us raise much needed funds on Red Nose Day and we're thrilled to now be offering these on our online shop too."
