WEE COUNTY care home staff have been celebrating after achieving professional qualifications while juggling the responsibilities of day-to-day working.
Lorraine Ferguson and Lesley Dickson, both employees at Mears Group, were recently presented with SVQ level 2 qualifications in Social Services and Healthcare.
The pair were highly praised for their efforts by the company’s SVQ development manager, Julie Elliot.
She said: “I know that they have spent considerable time and effort learning and taking regular assessment to achieve these certificates, while carrying out their day-to-day support duties for our service users.
“We continually strive to develop effective knowledge, skills and values across all our team members.”
Mears Care is one of the biggest providers of care at home and supported living services in Scotland.
The company’s staff enable people to live independently in their own homes with a bit of extra support, in Clackmannanshire and across the country.
