A STIRLINGSHIRE attraction is set to kick start the season with two weeks of family-friendly activities over the spring break.

Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park will host its Big Spring Fling between March 30 and April 14, promising a fun-filled day out.

There will be spring-themed entertainment with the likes of magician and puppeteer Scott Lovat, while a special edition version of 3D film Big Buck Bunny’s day Out will also be shown at the Safari Marquee – an indoor space recently created to make sure visitors enjoy the activities in any weather.

The park has created an interactive egg trail as well, allowing younger people to hunt for hidden treasures with a chance to win prizes.

Liz Gunn, marketing manager, said: “At Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park we are dedicated to providing a great day out for families, with something new to experience every time they visit.

“The Big Spring Fling promises to be a really fun day out for families with children of any age.

“With a host of exciting activities taking place throughout the day, it’s the perfect way to spend time with the family during the school holidays.”

And there will be more as visitors will get the chance to catch their first sighting of park’s new 20-month-old Amur tiger, Vitali, who joined four-year-old female tiger Hope in December.

The popular drive-through the wildlife reserves remains an option with chances to catch a close-up glimpse of the rhinos, zebras, lions, camels and antelope.

The Barbary macaque drive-through will also be open for those who don’t mind monkeys climbing on their car bonnet.

The Big Spring Fling events will take place daily between 10am and 5.30pm at the marquee, tickets which include all the activities are £13.50 for children and seniors and £16.50 for adults.
