THERE will be a number of road closures in Clacks this Sunday due to the Alloa Half Marathon.

The annual race takes places on Sunday, March 31, with a 10am start time.

As well as road closures, there will be parking restrictions in place to make the event safer for participants and road users.

Road Closures:

  • 7am – 2.30pm Parkway, Alloa
  • 10am – 11.30am A908 northbound through Sauchie from Whins Road Roundabout to Fishcross
  • 10am - 11.30pm A908 Fishcross to Devonside
  • 10am – 12.30pm A91 westbound from Tillicoultry to Menstrie
  • 10am – 12.30pm C101 Southbound (Menstrie Brae)
  • 10am – 12.30pm B9140 Tullibody Bypass (eastbound)
  • 10am – 11am A908 Shillinghill roundabout to Whins Road roundabout (rolling closure)

Those attending the event are reminded that there is no parking at the Leisure Bowl. There is, however, plenty of parking around Alloa Town Centre that is free.

There are no northbound buses towards the Hillfoots between 10am and 12pm.

Passengers can travel eastbound along A91 then southbound however if passengers are heading to Stirling they will need to change in Alloa.
