A TRIAL date has been fixed for three Wee County men following an alleged failed murder bid in Tillicoultry last year.
Two 19-year-olds are accused of the attempted murder of a man after what was described as an “altercation” in Chapelle Crescent on Sunday, December 16.
A further 18-year-old was charged with assault to injury of two 17-year-olds.
All three accused appeared at a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow today (Friday, April 12).
That resulted in a floating trial being scheduled to take place at the High Court in Edinburgh on July 15.
It is expected the trial will last for six days.
Following the alleged incident in December, a police spokesperson said: “Police in Forth Valley have charged three males following an altercation in Tillicoultry.
“The incident happened around 6.25am in the Chapelle Crescent area of the town on Sunday, December 16.
“Two youths, both aged 19, have been charged in connection with the attempted murder of an 18-year-old who was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with serious abdomen injuries.
“A further 18-year-old has been charged in connection with the assault of two 17-year-olds.”
All three accused deny the charges.
