Hundreds of theatre-goers were forced onto the streets in central Glasgow on Thursday after a fire alarm went off during a performance. 

Revellers at the King's Theatre were evacuated onto nearby streets during a performance of Annie. 

After the alarm was sounded, emergency services attended just after 9pm on Thursday.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they did attend with one pump but the incident proved to be a false alarm. 

It is unknown at this point what caused the alarm to go off.
