A KINCARDINE man has been given unpaid work for assaulting his partner to her injury.
Gary Reid, 56, appeared for sentencing in relation to the offence at Stirling Sheriff Court on Wednesday, April 24.
On March 30 last year, at an address in Tullibody, he assaulted his then partner by seizing her by the arms and pinning her against a wall.
He then to repeatedly punched her on the head, causing her to fall to the ground, all to her injury.
The charge had been amended by the time of sentencing, and reference to Reid threatening to kill the complainer had been deleted from the indictment.
A further reference to him seizing her throat and compressing the same, restricting her breathing and rendering her unconscious, had also been deleted.
Sheriff William Gilchrist gave Reid, of Dewar Avenue, a Community Payback Order with the requirement he complete 170 hours of unpaid work within eight months.
