THERE was a sparkle in the Alloa air at the weekend as a fairy tale party was held at a luxury hotel.

On Sunday, Inglewood House and Spa played host to a fabulous fairy tale tea party with little princes and princesses of lands near and far descending on the themed afternoon tea party at the local hotel.

The idea was to give families a reason to go out, enjoy good food and have fun with the children.

The local venue's David McGregor told the Advertiser that everyone involved had a great day.

He said: "The event had a great atmosphere, everyone really enjoyed themselves and all the staff got into it.

"We were really pleased with the feedback from guests and that they had already decided to host a similar event later in the year."

On offer was a delicious afternoon tea and a fairy tale atmosphere with music to keep the little ones on their feet.

There was also a meet and greet with Belle and the Beast while staff donned costumes, bringing to the event characters like Prince Charming, Cinderella and Snow White.

Tickets for the afternoon sold out and attracted around 80 people.

And there will be other similar occasions to keep an eye out for at Inglewood House as well in the near future with a Father's Day lunch and Ladies Day during the summer.

David added: "We are always thinking of new events for our regular customers and to attract visitors from further away to the hotel."
