TOMORROW'S Armed Forces Day parade in Alloa has been cancelled due to the poor weather forecast.
Due to take place tomorrow, Friday May 31, the event was unfortunately cancelled this morning after organisers took advice from the Met Office.
According to the weather experts there is to be heavy rain for most of the morning, which with the event being predominately outdoors, would have dampened the spirits of those attending.
So far, there has been no suggestion that the event will be rearranged for a later date.
A statement from Lord Provost Tina Murphy said: “We are extremely disappointed, but we have taken advise from the Met Office and feel that it is the best decision given that the event is predominately outdoors.”
