A CLACKS driver had a close call last week when a tree collapsed on to a Wee County roads just seconds after she passed.
The incident took place on Tillicoultry's Dollar Road late on Tuesday afternoon, June 11.
According to a man who wished to remain anonymous, his colleague was driving down the road before hearing a "loud cracking sound".
When the woman looked in her mirror, she saw a huge tree collapse on to the road she had just driven on.
Police attended the scene before contacting the council to clear it up.
Bizarrely, just the next day a similar incident happened when a tree fell on and blocked West Stirling Street in Alva, at which the police attended once again.
Officials told the Advertiser that there were no injuries in either incident.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We can confirm we received notification of a tree falling onto the roadway in Dollar Road, Tillicoultry at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, June 11.
"No one was injured; however, officers did attend at the scene.
"The council were also contacted to assist in the disposal of the tree."
