AN ALLOA woman who shouted abuse at police officers when she was intoxicated has been ordered to do unpaid work.

Leigh Hume, 29, of Maple Court, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court for sentencing.

She admitted that on March 25, 2022 at Maple Court, she shouted, swore and acted in an aggressive manner.

Depute fiscal Sarah Smith said that at 1am police officers had been called to deal with another matter when they found Hume who was heavily under the influence of drink and drugs.

She immediately became aggressive calling the officers “scum” and during the disturbance local residents “came out to see what the noise was all about”, added the depute.

Sheriff Garry Sutherland imposed a community payback order with 100 hours of unpaid work.
