AN ALLOA man was arrested following orchestrated drugs raids across the Forth Valley area recently.

The 42-year-old male was charged with a number of offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act, including one of importation.

A quantity of cash was also said to have been found at the Argyll Street address.

The property was tossed earlier this month under the banner of Operation Totalize, which police say led to the recovery of almost £20,000 worth of drugs.

The occupant will appear in court later this year, along with a 41-year-old female who was charged for possession of controlled substances.

Detective Sergeant Stuart Brodie, proactive CID, said “We target our actions based on intelligence provided from the community, which has led to nine arrests and £19,365 worth of drugs recovered.

“We’re committed to taking drugs off the streets in Forth Valley and we’ll continue to work at rooting out dealers, making sure they know that bringing drugs into our neighbourhoods only has one outcome.”

Anyone with information regarding drug dealing is urged to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
