GET into the festive spirit with a range of Christmas events in Clackmannanshire.

Alloa Town Centre Business Improvement District (BID) have organised a packed schedule in the run up to the big day – including the official lighting of the tree tomorrow (Saturday, November 25).

A number of exciting activities are planned, with a funfair to take place in Mill Street between 11am and 6pm.

There are also plans to put a stage in place with entertainment between 1pm and 5pm.

High Street and Mill Street will remain closed between the hours of 7am and 9pm, while the festive fun is ongoing.

The official switch on is set for 4.30pm on the day as Alloa gets ready to light up and kick off another community Christmas.

Saturday will also bring Belle and The Beast's Xmas party at the Speirs Centre, between 1.30-3pm.

The BID have also planned activities for the weeks that follow.

On Saturday, December 2, there will be Zoolab's Around the World with Santa at the same venue from 1.30-2.30pm.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, December 9, there will be Snow White and Batman's Xmas party in the Speirs Centre between 1.30-3pm.

Also on the same day, the Cairngorm reindeer will pay a visit to the High Street, 11am to 3pm, and there will be a short parade at 2pm.

And, on Saturday, December 16, there is a song and dance party with a special guest appearance from Poppy and Branch, at the centre between 12.30-1.50pm.

All events in the Speirs Centre are ticketed adults/children £2 each.

There will also be a number of Santa's Grotto sessions, 11am-4pm on November 25, December 2 and December 16.

On December 9, it will be held between 11am-2pm and 3-4pm.
