A FUN day will be held at Wimpy Park in Alloa this weekend.

The event has been organised by Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface (CTSI) to coincide with this year’s Volunteers’ Week celebration.

The fun day will take place on Saturday, June 2, between 11am and 4pm and will include a bouncy castle, face painting, volunteering information, activities and more.

It is something new for the organisation this year, which will also hold its annual invite-only awards ceremony on Friday, June 1.

Louise Orr, volunteer development officer at CTSI, said: “With it being the Year of Young People, and the theme for Volunteers’ Week this year being ’volunteering for all’ we thought we would mix things up a little and try to appeal more to young people and families with our other event, hence the reason for teaming up with The Wimpy Park Community Group for the fun day.

“We want to emphasise the inclusion and fun in volunteering by having information about opportunities side by side with family activities.”

Making it a busy weekend, CTSI will also have its family fun run in collaboration with Alloa Half Marathon on Sunday, June 3.
