IT is a traditional part of many weddings, however one Wee County couple decided to give their cake something of a twist.
Bernadette Mountcastle and Christopher MacKay, of Fishcross, were married at Alloa Baptist Church on Saturday 22 February by the Reverend James King.
The cake was made to honour the groom’s support of Alloa Athletic, of which he is a dedicated follower.
Made by their friend Heather, it was decorated with wasps ably supported by the couple’s two Westies Lily and Daisy.
To add to the celebration for the happy couple Alloa Athletic also gave Bernadette a life membership of the football club as a wedding gift.
The wedding reception was held at the Dunmar House Hotel where guests danced the night away to music wonderfully performed by the Darloch Ceilidh Band.
