Claremont and St John’s primary schools held special closing ceremonies ahead of the move to Redwell after the summer holidays.
Last Friday (27 June) pupils, staff, family and friends gathered in each playground to say goodbye.
As Claremont’s choir entertained the crowd, over at St John’s the flag was lowered for the last time before the assembly joined together to sing Auld Lang Syne.
In August children from both schools will be taught together at the £8.3m purpose-built Redwell Primary.
