One hundred and sixty hanging baskets, 50 barrels and two floral displays were under the microscope in Alloa on Wednesday (6 August).
Representatives from Keep Scotland Beautiful were in Clackmannanshire to see the town’s offering for the annual Beautiful Scotland competition.
They were also able to enjoy the beanie hats local artist Linn Knox crocheted for bollards and visit the 'Hidden Garden’ at Moncrieff Church.
The 'Blooming Alloa’ entry was led by Alloa Town Centre BID, in partnership with Clackmannanshire Council, Moncrieff Church, Forth Valley Criminal Justice and Wee County Floral Hire.
Andrew Mitchell, town centre BID manager, said, “Floral displays help to improve the appearance of the town centre which have resulted in a number of positive comments highlighting the overall improvements which have taken place in Alloa Town Centre over the past five years.
“Not only do we have an attractive town but it is safe and there are frequent free events taking place, if you’ve not visited Alloa for a while please pay us a visit.”
