A provider of play and social opportunities for disabled children and adults in the Wee County has received a £4632 cash injection.
Play Alloa has been awarded a CashBack for Communities youth work grant for 2014-15.
The organisation, based in Alloa, is one of 161 community groups supporting young people that will share £533,036 between them in the first tranche of the CashBack for Communities Youth Work Fund, administered by YouthLink Scotland.
A total of £2.094 million will be allocated to groups over the next three years.
Aileen Campbelll, Minister for Children and Young People, said, “Since Cashback for Communities was introduced by this Government in 2007, thousands of young people have benefited from more than 1.5 million sporting, cultural and educational activities and opportunities, all funded from ill-gotten cash seized from crooks.
“I am delighted to see so many great organisations are receiving this latest share of funding, which will help them take their important work even further.”
