AN ALLOA youngster took part in the Scottish Dressage Championships, held at Glasgow RDA Centre, Sandyflats, Glasgow.

Josh Syme was one of three riders that participated and all did well – they were entered in the Introduction to Dressage classes and, on this occasion, all riders did the test unled – and he was placed first in the walk test.

Thanks go to the volunteers, parents, instructors, lorry driver, riders, Harry (the horse) for helping with the day on Sunday 21 September.

Shiresmill Therapy Riding Centre is also keen to recruit new volunteers and has classes in the mornings, Monday to Saturday, and also on Monday and Thursday evenings.  You don’t have to have any experience of working with horses, but any experience will be welcomed, as there are many varied tasks that have to be undertaken.  If you are interested contact the centre at 01383 882700.
