PEOPLE in the Wee County’s business community are being given the chance to share their views.

In order to make a difference, Imagine Alloa – Better for Business, the marketing arm of Clackmannanshire Business, is distributing a survey to find out what the local business needs are, with the purpose of offering qualitative feedback to the relevant agencies.

Marketing manager, Kevin Deighan, said, “We really would like to have a robust sample-size, in terms of responses, that will give us a stronger case to take to the relevant organisations. We would urge all businesses, regardless of sector, in Clackmannanshire to take this opportunity to have their say.” Imagine Alloa is tasked with attracting business to the county, whether it be businesses relocating or expanding into Clackmannanshire, or heightening the awareness of the high-calibre of services and products that exist or are manufactured here.

The area has grown its reputation as a viable business location and now has a fantastic road and rail infrastructure enhancing what was already a hugely beneficial, strategic location in Central Scotland.

However, its aim is also to maintain open communication with the businesses already in Clacks.

Kevin said, “Whilst it is one thing to attract inward investment, we also need to have dialogue with the existing business community in terms of their needs, relative to the local authority, broadband connectivity or even whether road access impacts negatively on their business.” The survey will close 31 October and one lucky respondent will win £100 from Mr Singh’s fantastic restaurant in Alloa Town Centre.
