ACTRESS and comedienne Dorothy Paul will open an ‘international’ art exhibition at Resonate Arts House which features some of her own work.

The star of the TV adaptation of the Steamie will be the guest of honour at the official opening on 8 November.

Now in its fourth year, the International Exhibition is set to showcase artwork by local, national and international artists.

Born and brought up in Glasgow, Dorothy is a regular on the theatre circuit with her one-woman shows.

Dorothy, who is also a watercolour artist, said, “I’m really looking forward to seeing the exciting range of talent that is in the local community.” The exhibition will run in the Swarm Gallery until 13 January next year and feature paintings in all media, prints, woodcraft, jewellery, fused glass, fabric and knitted items, and marquetry.

Resonate Together, based in North Castle Street, Alloa, is a self-funding social enterprise focused on creativity, health and well-being.

Donna McGee, Resonate art director, said, “The standard and variety of artwork in our international shows has been amazing.

“Our local artists have such talent and their submissions take their place with those from much further afield. The Wee County has much to be proud of in these outstanding exhibitions of talent.”
