MP Gordon Banks hosted his annual charity coffee morning in Alloa last week.

Taking part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, MacMillan Cancer Support’s yearly fundraising event, the MP opened his doors for a chat and a hot drink for local people keen to meet him.

The event raised £350 for people living with cancer.

Gordon said, “I really look forward to this event as it provides a great opportunity to meet constituents old and new whilst giving support to a most deserving charity.

“As in previous years, we had a great turn-out and I enjoyed having a chat with constituents.” The MP added, “I would like to thank all those who came along on the day and I hope that they enjoyed the coffee morning as much as I did.” MacMillan Cancer Support’s nationwide coffee morning raised over £10m this year. The organisation was set up over a century ago, and has grown to be the largest cancer care and support charity in the UK.
