MORE than 6000 people flocked to the West End Park to enjoy the Alloa Round Table’s annual Firework Bonanza.

Now in its fourth year, the event on Wednesday (5 November) was a huge success and crowds were kept entertained by local band Nae Danger, before the dazzling display was carried out by firework company Midnight Storm.

Andrew Mitchell, Alloa Round Table chairman, said: “Our firework display gets bigger and better each year. Kenny Ramage and his firework committee did a fantastic job in the lead up and on the night to ensure that the evening ran smoothly. A special thanks to James Cuthbertson and all the volunteers who helped on the night, Les Sharp leader of the council for setting of the fireworks, staff from Clacks Council, Central Scotland Police, St. Andrew’s First Aid, Jewson’s and Snowie’s.” All the money raised from round table events is put back into the local community supporting events and activities such as the Senior Citizens Christmas Party, Christmas presents for the needy, the Sauchie Food Bank, as well as supporting local good groups/sports clubs.

Please contact Alloa Round Table if your Clackmannanshire organisation requires support.

The next round table events include The Seniors Christmas Party, the Burn’s Supper and the Alloa Half Marathon.
