EIGHT employees from Marshall Construction Ltd have been rewarded after more than 25 years service with the company.

The long serving staff members, most of whom are from the Hillfoots area, cover a variety of departments and duties; from receptionist Lesley Harper, from Clackmannan, through surveyor Stephen Patrick, from Dollar to Colin Paterson, project manager from Alva.

Danny Conroy, an estimator/surveyor from Muckhart who has been with Marshall Construction for 27 years, was another employee who was given a token of appreciation for his hard work.

Conroy said: “Marshall Construction has been a great firm to work for. I have worked with other family firms in my career and feel that there is a real difference – you are not just a number and there is a close knit feeling. The construction industry has its ups and downs for sure, but I am delighted that Marshall Construction has grown and progressed in the industry to its present healthy state and I wish it continued prosperity.” Other employees included within the lucky eight are, Willie Heads, assistant plant manager from Bridge of Allan; contracts surveyor Kenny Thomson, who lives in Tillicoultry and Inglis Douglas, general building manager, from Kinross.

Robert Marshall, managing director of the company, commented on their Silver Anniversary saying: “I am delighted to have retained such hard working and dedicated staff and applaud them on their unwavering loyalty and substantial contribution to the growth of our company. Marshall Construction is a family business and I have no doubt this is a contributory factor to the high level of long serving employees who have remained with us. I congratulate them on this achievement and look forward to their continued involvement.”
